There's a lovely walking path directly in front of our home. A walk there anytime of day is beautiful but I particularly love ones taken in the early morning.
Desert Yellow Bells are blooming profusely this time of year........and they seem to thrive in our continuing 100 degree plus heat........
Though the temperatures this weekend continue to soar on the desert floor, we seem to have some beautiful Autumn colors going on here.......there's always something to be grateful for....... :)
This is the stunning Mexican Bird of Paradise......it will bloom like this until our first frosty night........which may or may not come in late December.
And be sure to take that walk......
and Sunday's in my City. Be sure to check them all out.
Such beautiful fall colors.

Beautiful reminder that God provides beauty in every season. When people come to see us they are always impressed with the Mexican Bird of Paradise that is so prevalent in our area. One relative was wondering if it would grow in California.

As we've driven through the Phoenix area before I've wondered what those vibrant orange and red blooms were. They seemed to be everywhere when I was there. I always wondered what the name of those were, and now I know. By the way, beautiful shots!

ReplyDeleteOh my, just found your blog for the first time and love it. I collect roosters and cookbooks too. I live in Virginia but lived in Arizona for five years in the '70's. Phoenix metro area is the best of Arizona but the summer heat is gruesome. But I could take a visit in the late fall or winter or early spring. Hey, want to do a home exchange? We live 45 miles west of Washington D.C. You could check out my cookbooks and roosters in person! LOL!
